thats what i do. i combine my decathlon zlite knockoff mat and my neoair all season. gives a combined R value of 6.6 which is adequate for me, i've used this set up down to -6c with no issues. I'd happily use it at -10c.
this may allow you to buy something cheaper and/or lighter which you can use alone at other times of the year.
