Opinion on merrell?
Just bought a pair of Merrell Moab Ventilators, starting to break them in and so far it feels like I'm walking on clouds.

I've had generally good experiences form merrell UNTIL I bought stuff from the merrell outlet. That shit was garbage.

Every pair of merrells I've had gripped like a motherfucker though. Make sure to re-waterproof them often.

I still wear them, the tread is gone, thee suede ig gone, but they just keep going and they're too comfy to throw out!

I just use them as quick slip-ons around the house and still tops in comfy rating!

My Soloman's are much the same, but better condition.

love merrells. I wore out one pair of moabs (can't stand the thought of throwing them away, will wear them while cutting grass). Boots are the waterproof (non gortex) ventilators. there great in the ice and snow but will sweat your feet awful in any kind of wasrm weather.

I own the waterproof moab ventilator boots. They will bake your feet in the summer. I wear the waterproof boots for ice and snow and they do great but could not imagine hiking any distance in them during warm weather. I would go gortex for daily wear, should breathe better.

I just bought a pair Merrell Trail Glove 2 for $40 and I own some nice Asolo Sasslong boots that I bought for $130.

Wore a pair of moab ventilators on a 70km hike. Loved those boots, but at the last leg the left one started to really hurt the top of my foot and I had to hike with it unlaced. Very disappointing.
Recently got a pair of pic related, I have to force myself to not wear them on a daily basis, they're that goddamn comfy.

I've had a pair of the low Moab Ventilators for about 4 years as daily-wear shoes. Just now replaced them since I've worn them down. Went with the mid-height ones for ankle support since I may sometimes go from my office to the trails and grounds I manage without bothering to change to my actual hikers.

I loved the original Chameleon Stretch shoes to death. I still have them even though the sole is almost smooth now. They're my backyard shoes now in case I step in dog poop I missed picking up. Easy to wash off with almost no lugs. Heh. They felt like moccasins. I tried several of the later remodels but they all sucked balls by comparison.

merrel Axis 2 are a disappointment in even the lightest of rain.

The features are: this cool drawstring instead of tying your shoelaces, and a giant "M" styling on the side.

The tread looked sweet inside the store, but put to use I nearly busted my ass on a very lightly wet floor, also the heel on the shoe makes a clopping loud sound like a horse when I walk around because of the shoe string locking feature doesn't secure so great after all.

Hell I am afraid to wear them in the parking lot at a ski resort - might bust my ass before I even get a lift ticket.

Stylish, yes... for real work... hell noez.

I own top right, my dad owns bottom right.
I personally think the build quality is pretty 'meh'. The heel linner of mine wore out, and now i have to wear thick socks and tie them up really tightly, or the heel support thing(plastic shell) digs into my Achilles tendon. Only got 2 years out of them before that started to happen :\

Use these Merrell Barefoots for almost any phiscal activity, gym, hiking, climbing etc. They are the best shoe that I have ever owned hands down. Year and a half old the sole still has a fair amount of rigidity, plus they are machine washable which is a huge bonus. Will be buying myself a new pair soon.
