When I clear some fallings after a storm, which is mostly chestnut tree, because my property has lots of old chestnut trees. Also I have spruce trees, but they're a fire hazard and not protected so I fall a few every year. But next to that, I order 1 ton of pre cut holly oak, which is what most people use here for firewood, because holly oak is the most energy efficient. It's so dense and heavy it will sink in water.
