Well, I don't do that, but I did pick up a new sleeping back on black friday, got a nice down winter bag for real 50% off.
Maybe i should try it, just inflate my pad and use my bag on the floor, though that might be too hot.

the only problem i have with this is the buildup of humidity and moisture after multiple nights in a row.

Also, a good reason to never make the bed - leaving it unmade helps it air out and dry out.
