>>2676590i live in the desert and i go out for work in 90s and triple digits. for 3 days with highs in the 90s, i would bring 1 electrolyte powder pack a day (2 if i have to do some labor or something), ham+cheese sandwiches, carrots, random fruit, and pbjs for lunches, leftovers or grits with ham/cheese or oatmeal with raisins for breakfast, and dinners are fresh food. i often bring leftovers, but otherwise ill cook like a chicken pesto pasta, or make a pasta salad, or a stir fry. i basically cook like im at home. ill also bring some extra snacks like jerky or something if i need more salt during the day. then ill bring a couple extra bars for the last day or just for reserve. and im always carrying extra powder packs and salty snacks to give to idiots anyways.
only if its longer than 3 days will i bring a freeze dried meal as night 2 is about the limit for fresh food in the heat.
watching out for bozos giving themselves hyponatremia is part of my job so i think im confident in my own salt intake levels
