Recently walked into the woods hoping I'll take a photo of an animal so I picked some roes' (manlet deers') prints to find it. Unfortunately I'm extremely far from being an expert so even guessing what direction were these prints (I guess it came forward from my perspective). I lost the first prints when the roe went onto a human trace, second when it went between thorns, third when it went into very dense young forest and fourth when the prints encircled a tree and disappeared for some reason so I didn't see any wild animal. To make things even worse, there was like 10 inches of snow so I ended up with snow in my boots.
