Colorado can get extremely gay with the transplants trying to recreate Cali but it's still a nice state and anyway you look at it places like Golden or Mesa are pretty.
For Colorado being such a rich state, DEN itself is dinky especially downtown. There are many nicer areas than the above-average but boring Denver.
