When you want a knife that is reasonably priced and of decent quality that can be your "cure all" in a survival situation, you look like you have an eye for quality and business sense, but that won't help you one bit when you're starving to death in the woods.
Contrary to popular belief in these knife threads, usefulness is largely a subjective topic. I recommend buying a knife that strikes your fancy, regardless of what company name or quality steel it goes by.
If it turns out the knife blade sucks and it can't perform some tasks because the handle sticks out in the wrong place, well guess what? You'll be able to pick a knife that CAN do that task well next time you go shopping.
If it turns out the steel works really well for how you're using it and its never let you down, guess what? You'll be able to pick a knife you CAN trust to do certain tasks.
I don't know about you but I'd trust a knife I've had experience with at least 10x more than I'd trust a kabar or mora, because they're not designed to be your personal ass scratcher, they're designed to be able to scratch everyone's ass with as little technique as possible, so that no ass must remain unscratched. Kabars might scratch your ass a little rough sometimes and doesn't quite reach that one spot, and moras might not be satisfying enough for you.
So why don't you just buy an ass scratcher to suit your own ass. I'm sure the people in this thread have better things to do than to try and scratch your ass with their preferences.
