No, I'm saying I wouldn't think twice about going out by myself anywhere east of the mississippi because of the massive population density and totally shit mountains.

Going out on west coast mountains alone is extremaly dangerous--especially off trail. East coast idiots don't have real mountains and their trails are infested with people... this isn't the case on the west coast.

Navigating off-trail is generally easier in the west because there are fewer trees so the landmarks are more visible. In the eastern woodlands, you really need to know what you're doing if you venture far away from the trail.

Also, you're a mega-retard if you think the actual backcountry is full of people. You could be fucked if you venture into the real wilderness areas and get in trouble. Calling for help wouldn't be an option either in places with limited or no cellphone reception.

80% of the United State's population is east of the Mississippi. WA state alone has almost more national park than all of the eastern states combined.

Yes, east coast "parks" are over saturated and surrounded by urban sprawl. I've checked.
