nike air max 90s have always been good for me in snow, summer, rain, anything. theyve been very waterproof even. ive had to wear only them for a long time, i have very injured ankles with micro fractures all through them, from when i was a kid so i need good ankle support. so i have tested these shoes in every situation and weather by now.

Old man shoes. Just look for very thick white shoes typically worn by dads. The less known the brand, the better. I get mine from goodwill, and they keep my feet cozier than some name brand boots I've worn. Just remember to wear two pairs of socks.

I worked there for a few months. I didn't encounter any foreigners, but 90% of the people there are brown. If youre any good with tools, you can get in good with the maintenance guys, who will be the only white people in the building.

Well RME is "Reliability Maintenance Engineering", which are the guys running around keeping the conveyer belts operational. If I remember right, RTE are the chucklefucks who keep the giant roombas running. It looked like a pretty comfy position.

For shoes there are a few ways you can go about this. The first is just to burn thrift store shoes over and over, which is usually the rookies play, but thrift store shoes are always in short supply and you suffer risks associated with unreliable footwear.

The second strategy is modular footwear, you get crocks because they are durable and can't be soiled, I recommend them generally. In wet weather you can wear them just to protect your other shoes. You can also wear plastic bags over your socks if you've got to dig in,

Third strategy is to get shoes which are actually good. Hiking boots, army boots, but you can get caught in this position where you can't then look after them. You're over invested.

There's also the option of upgrading shoes, applying waterproofing to canvas shoes, sewing continuous tongue stitching. You might do this to thrift store shoes.

People usually go between the street and insecure accommodation over, and over, and over until nobody wants anything to do with them. At that point many people prefer living in a shanty to the persecution they face in society
