I live in south Tennessee, tons of ticks and mosquitos and chiggers here. I'm outside most of the time especially during summer. So much wading through brush in the backcountry. I will get plenty of chiggers but for some reason a few years ago ticks stopped biting me altogether. Few months ago I went backpacking with a buddy for 3 days in the mountains and by the end of it he was eat up with ticks and chiggers but I had zero ticks. I still get some mosquito bites here and there but for the most part they leave me alone. I moved here from central Alabama, I grew up in the woods a lot as a kid but had a period where I was mostly indoors as a young teen... When I moved here I started spending most of the time outside and after a year or two the mosquitos and ticks just stopped. Did I develop immunity? Gigachad energy make these bugs not dare to bite me? Do they just not like my face? Thanks for reading my blog.

I had to pick ticks off my pets as recently as a week ago, usually stop giving them medicine around late October since there's no need but not anymore I guess

i was traveling a summer or two ago living out of my van with my dog and woman over on the east coast (inland) and I think it was north carolina where I slept at a rest stop by not far from that underwater bridge and then i wake up and i feel this weird shit on me and bam i have two or three ticks on my body, and my gf has one too, pulled them off without thinking and then spent the whole day worrying that i didn't get their mouths out, shit was horrid
