Even living in the UK, I cannot handle sun at all. I hiked by far the most in February to April and September. Summer is the most popular with most people, but I don't get it.
But the weather in the UK has been total shit for Oct-Dec, non-stop rain and storms. I managed to get out a few times but it sucked apart from a week where it was cold. Mild winters suck in the UK, it just rains every day and gets dark super early.
