Any Kennetreck boot, the tongue is attached completely on both sides so it's a single peice. This with gaiters would hold up for hours.

I’m not trying to set some kind of speed record but it seems like that would be a huge pain in the ass. You don’t know how many muddy sections there are going to be or how long they are. You might hike through some mud, swap back into your hiking shoes, then 100’ later put your rubber boots back on after a turn in the trail reveals more mud.

This is the creek crossing thread but much stupider. At least with creeks you can see them on a map and know what’s coming up.

That guy's an ass. 10 acres is well more than a family can manage if it's fully utilized. You might be limited on for-profit farming, but that should handle gardens, greenhouses, grain plots, and/or small to medium livestock. Larger than that and the maintenance workload starts to cut into how much you can actually get done. Or at least you have to start leaving parts unused.

t. 200 acres, weedwhacking the pasture fences takes literal days

I only use these for cow poo or if it’s really wet or snowy. You can wear them all day, I have sweaty feet so I change socks every 3-4 hours but otherwise they are not bad at all. I’ walk 8-10 miles everyday at work and wear these 5-10 times a year. Dont buy the ones with the neoprene uppers they get damaged by fire really easy just go full rubber. If it was really sloppy and wet I’d take these over hiking boots or sneakers even for a 20 miler.
