ive been on lots of trails that were abandoned railways and never with more than a single remaining tie deep within
I think in a few cases there are train engines that fell off left in the ravine, but never with tracks intact, and I mean I've found a lot of rail trails
may I ask where this is?

Average flood, the island there is the one in the photo above. In a big flood the river is well over the island and up in the trees.
