>>2693686Yeah there are spots, especially upstream in PA. The hiking buddy of mine on that trip did a river tube drift thing on a section upstream in the Poconos that ended right there at the Water Gap, she said it was pretty.
Personally the only hiking I’ve done along the Delaware is in that area. I did sail a lot on the Delaware growing up, but that was mostly around the Philadelphia area, it’s a lot less pretty down there.
If you get away from the river and I80 there are still a lot of good hikes in the area though. Pic related is a cliff side hike in Milford PA, not too much elevation gain for great views, trail runs along the cliff edge for a mile or so, then you can take it down to Raymonskill Falls (tallest water fall in PA), and loop around to Hackers Falls which is another good swimming spot.
