Hey, hear me /out/.

I have absolutely NO clue about coolers. But since I'll be visiting the US in spring I thought about picking up a good one. Pic related would be the perfect size. But I don't know which one it is.
I think it might be a 45 Quart one. But the pics on Yeti's homepage seem to show either different model or I'm completely wrong.

So tl;dr: Which size of Yeti cooler is the one in my picture?

Hey, well
1) I got no fucking clue about coolers. I just heard that modern ones are really fucking awesome at keeping stuff hot or cold even for days.
2) I don't really NEEEEED a cooler at all. It would just be a very handy addition to my stuff.
3) I got no fucking clue how large the gap between a $50 and a $300 cooler is. I also don't know how much of Yeti's price tag is due to its brand name
4) The cooler should be rather small, just like my OP pic related because it needs to fit into my checked baggade for my return flight.

I just saw this scene of Yellowstone the other day and was like "huh? that's a nice sized cooler" and when I checked the hefty price differences between Yetis (and other brands) in the US and Europe my decision was to buy one in the US.

I'm completely open for good suggestions. It doesn't have to be a Yeti at all. I will not have to haul it through the woods afoot. I just want a rather small-ish, well insulated cooler for assorted outdoor shenanigans.
If the quality is right I don't have any brand-based limitations. And if it's cheaper than a yeti but gives me comparable performance then I'd sure go for it in a heartbeat.

Perhaps it helps other anons to give me some ideas: I won't be far away from a rather large Cabela's and a Walmart Super Center.

I don't know much about Yetis; never used one. But I do hear a lot of complaints about Yetis not keeping stuff cold enough. My friend bought me some variant of picrel for my birthday. I used it a couple times and it seems to work great.

Looks to be the Tundra 35. I have two igloo coolers, the IMX 70 and I'm happy when I'm truck camping with other people.

Yeti does work pretty well, but that's not to say that you can't get a similar performing cooler for less $. I have a 65qt yeti tundra and an igloo 70qt. the performance is pretty similar but I paid a lot less for the igloo and got more useable space. biggest thing is to pre-chill your cooler to keep everything colder for longer. this matters a lot less on day trips, but if you're /out/ for a week straight, it's the difference between keeping your food cold for the entirety of your trip and eating dehydrated stuff on the last few days.

another option is to fit your bags into your cooler and check the cooler. if you opt for something sturdy like a yeti/rtic/orca, it'll survive a flight no problem.

I don't think OP could go any larger than 25 quarts max. And his pic doesn't show a Tundra 35. Rip is a big guy (for you) but not this big look at the stairs. This cooler is much smaller

You really only need a big ass modern cooler like that for storing animal or fish meat or living out for a week+ at a time. That being said you can always get one for fun. Theyre an awesome qol improvement if you camp/out a lot with people. Personally, I “need” mine for living out the back of my truck for weeks on the road or camping. The cost of ice adds up if you have to go and get it every day
