I went overnight camping with my doggo and when i woke up he was gone what the fuck! I couldnt find him i looked for hours in a several mile radius and had to eventually go home without him. I miss you bookiebear

Similar thing happened to me but I found my dog stuck in a ditch full of tumbleweeds after searching and yelling for an hour. It's too late now but your dog mightve just been stuck a few feet from you somewhere and not miles away, I only found my dog cause I stopped making noise and listened for feint crying.
