I'd been hearing a lot of discussion between which backpacks are best (most durable, volume, applicability (not just for hiking, but also for carrying laptops/books/garbage)).

best I'd heard thus far has been between Ascent and Swiss Gear. However finding good info is hard since salesmen are commissioned to sell brands, reviewers basically get paid to push good reviews and random people dont use much other than whatever they buy at wallmart.
