Just finished watching this shitty show.
Damn, what a disappointment.
When I saw season 1 of the original show it became a dream of mine to participate in it some day.
Then they started adding more sound effects and artificially building up the suspense before the commercial break, most of the time for things that ended up being nothingburgers. And inviting more hippies and """first nations""" people.
And now the icing on the cake. They ended the finale by pulling one of the participants for bullshit medical reasons so the hippie woman could win. And apparently they didn't even check the woman. They just conveniently decided to check the guy first and found him to be unable to continue.
What a shitty way to ruin something that was originally a great idea.
But I suppose it was obvious from the beginning that it was unfair. The criteria for medical reasons should be quantitative and predetermined, not something decided arbitrarily by the producers case by case. In the end it's just manipulated shit just like all other survival tv shows.
If I was the guy who was pulled I would be eager to sue the company, but I guess he's hoping he gets invited for another season.
