There are very real, measurable benefits to physically spending time outside that you can't get with a VR headset on your toilet. But of course people will be convinced that there's no difference, just like they were convinced there's no difference between processed foods and whole foods (a calorie is a calorie, bro) and just like they were convinced there's no difference between socializing over Facetime/Zoom/Skype or in person (we're still talking to each other, bro, what are hormones?).
