I do not have a jeep, I have a normal SUV with no front skid plate (sadly) and fucked up the differential by doing so many rock-studded dirt roads in search of trails.
It's not like I want to be on dirt roads in poor condition, I don't find it fun, I find it a nail-biting experience because I don't really have the proper car for it. I mean, I've never gotten stuck or close to it, but driving over rocks is always a risk.
I've gotten all-terrain tires but really I just wish dirt roads were in better condition, or, you know paved. I don't see the appeal of "jeep trails", except if that's the only way to get to a trail or view.
