>>2708045I pretty much only go /out/ with company. Literally can't remember the last time I went out alone beyond a short (1-2h) hike in the woods or a visit to the beach. Even then I'll usually have the dogs with me.
I'm married and my wife's as much into the outdoors as I am. Maybe more so.
Other than her, my mum's pretty active and we go hiking or trail running together fairly often. Hunting too, although less frequently. Last time my wife and I went mountaineering my mum joined us for the non-technical part of it, up to 17,000 ft.
I've also got a group of mates I go hiking/camping/hunting with, with varying degrees of regularity.
I met my wife and most of my more /out/istic mates while I was at uni. Some from classes, some from various clubs and societies (mostly the rpg club and the outdoors club), some as friends of friends.
