What does aspergillus even look like( I touch all the funny, fluffy molds I come across, pic related is in an underground WW1 fort, also never wear masks)

FFP3 if you're in europe, N95 in the US, KN95 in asia. Basically any mask that's electrostatically charged to remove extremely small particles and aerosols. You'll want masks with breathout valves, otherwise speaking or even exhaling strongly shifts the mask.
I wouldn't bother with reuseable masks, since a good one will cost over a hundred bucks, butif you want to go that route, get one with circular thread. Otherwise the filters get damn expensive.

Obviously make sure you're clean shaven (or slick your beard with vaseline) if you're going anyhwere really dangerous.

ok, yes, BUT- what you don't realise is we actually use those gas masks when entering dodgy places. and we're trespassing, so the camo/khaki gear helps (have hidden 6 feet from security thanks to it) so it's not as much of a larp as you think.
I have a modern particulate filter in a czech cm3, my mates have some other old milsurp. british bs10 and some swedish or finnish mask ????
don't use GP5 filters, they have asbestos, as do old WW2 ones and most russian ones.
I also rate the polish/french mp5 mask. nato thread filter connection. often comes with a black unmarked filter, they are good in my experience.
