Perhaps this isn't the right board but hey, I'll give it a try since it has very much to do with being outdoors.

So, I have the equivalent of 1200 dollars in my national currency, and for that I want to get a bike that I can use for touring/radonneuring.and other things, as winter commuting, and preferably rambling about in the woods (cyclocross-ish).

I've been looking into these bikes:
All City Nature Boy
Genesis Day One
Genesis CdF (if I can find one at discount)
Surly Cross Check (I've found one which is on the edge of too big for me, but I've heard it's a great bike)
Verenti Substance (Wiggle's own brand I think)
Charge Filter Hi (It's getting tricky to find ones since I think they've been discontinued for 2014)

Any other ideas? Pros vs. cons with these bikes?
