It encourages and enables low-standards posters to spam images that add nothing to the discourse, which drags down the perceived quality of the discussion topic immensely and functionally kills it because no one is going to invest the effort into a low quality topic unless they ignore and filter AI art.
At the very least a drawfag can be made fun of or something can be inferred from whatever bullshit that they have spawned, nothing can be done with AI art other than pointless backpatting by proxies and other proompters.
Even a shitty stock image was created with actors and at a location and someone had to actually find it, an AI prompt was just proompted, there's nothing there but the incredibly surface level context of the AI trying to fulfill the prompt.
I suppose in terms of quality the nearest comparison is a wojak booru.
