finally got around to putting a new handle on the old axe. came out really nice and wanted to share to encourage others to do things like this.

i had never done anything like this and was nervous but it was surprisingly easy. put new handles on your old tools anons its cheaper in the long run.

drilling the old rotted handle out of the head was the hardest part because the wood was simultaneously gummy and hard. once the head was free it was a piece of cake to seat the head into the new handle and wedge it in. i put wood glue on the wedge which was probably not needed but can't hurt either.
