>>2736890I actually agree with you and it was when I rented from my old landlord who I worked for. Step-Mom and Father I also rented from had horses. Seriously, fuck horses. Biggest waste of time, money, and energy imaginable. My horse is on two wheels and doesn't need 24/7 care. Just an oil change, weekly tire pressure checks, oil of the chain every few hundred miles, and wash. I love my motorcycle.
>>2737729Get rich quick scheme? Where did I say or imply that? I just said it doesn't make you all that viable in today's economy. It helps you maintain self-sufficiency which can be good but it drains from time spent working on marketable skills. There's a reason people had ten kids to maintain a farm way back when. It's not even remotely viable economically. The farmers sell dirt cheap to big agriculture and they process it so that it becomes the 5 dollar delicious cancer that hits your store shelves. I can already hear the rebuttal of muh hobby farm too. Have fun finding someone to babysit for your short shitty weekend getaway vacation. Finding people to look after farm animals isn't that easy and comes with huge liabilities. Especially when horses, cows, etc get involved.
>>2738914Farmers are the most fucked over people ever. It's a hard job that's romanticized by media and worst of all Stardew Valley. I swear that game is what caused the fat fuck Reddit Commies at the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone incident to put potted plants in the fucking ground while still in the plastic pots. Not even removed at all from the plastic pots, just placed half way in a bag of dirt they poured on top of a black tarp.
>>2738942This poster right here is a good example of the romanticized view I despise. The barrier to entry for farming is really low which equals flooded markets.
>>2739009Same tired argument. Please tell me you think BRICS is a threat too when all those nations wouldn't equal the same purchasing power as the British pound or Japanese Yen. Not to mention corrupt.
