One of the best /out/ experiences of my life was when I was camping in South Dakota and I watched this massive multi-cell storm approach me then hammer me all night. I had never experienced such power in a storm, even in the tropics. And that was considered a typical summer storm for people out there. I want to go back to the plains and storm chase.
