Imagine trying to gatekeep an activity/hobby that the """"""normies"""""" have been practicing and participating in since before this website was even thought of.
People with autism or aspergers tend to get extremely hung up on things with artifical value. Stuff related to money or social status. Stuff most people would usually get over as they get older.
Gear costs money. Most people assume that something that costs more is usually better.
