Cooking tips

No.2734028 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I went on my first long camp, 4 nights. I cooked using pic related, I'd buy some meat and fry it, then boil some rice or noodles and mix it together. Cooking the meat seems to take a really long time. Burgers would appear cooked on the outside but inside would be raw. Sausages, I'd have to cut into small pieces and that would still take a while. If I turned up the heat, it would just burn the outside and still leave the middle raw. Best thing was thin steak slices, that was easy. So what am I getting wrong here, is it just what happens when you cook outside? I've never found it taking this long with bbqs.
