Hey fellas, i‘ll be on a hike with friends soon and i‘ve decided on getting a new hammock to sleep in. I used to utilize a single tent but i‘m honestly sick of carrying it around, hiding it, having to carry additional back support and having to find even flooring.
My friend has picrel hammock, i‘d like a bigger size like this too (able to take shoes and bag inside) but he has many criticisms of it. It takes hella water on rainy days, not directly but condensation seems to collect like crazy. Also, he feels it gets stiff but i don’t feel it as much because i‘m only around 70 kilos.
Anybody here have some good recommendations? I don’t need all the comfort in the world, i just need something to give me good enough sleep to handle 10 days of hiking and concealable enough to put it up in semi-rural areas where overnight stays might be slightly illegal.
We‘ll be camping to southern europe in august so isolation is also of lesser concern, either i sweat my balls off or i sweat my balls off.
