Just hiked the Bonds in NH, Zeeland to Lincoln woods. Obviously crowded this weekend but I noticed that all of the sudden it seems all the overnighters are carrying satellite phones. Did something happen? I swear I never saw these before, like 1 or 2 a year in wilderness area hikes but now every third person with a zeelite tied to their pack has one of these. I'm guessing the satellite network is now good enough to upload photos to Instagram or something as it was mostly women carrying them
