i've got a few vango tents, pretty good for the low price. not ultralight obviously, but you can compress them pretty small if you pack your poles separately.

Can go are a solid brand and good for British weather.
The only issue I see is if you try to get in when it’s raining, you’re going to get water inside the tent.

Depends on if you're short and skinny, but there does appear to be some space for opening the rain fly, getting under the rain fly, closing the rain fly, and then opening the tent proper. Not as much as something like a Kelty discovery trail, but still present.

Neat. I have an version from years ago. Served me well, but at 3kgs it isn't suitable to longer hikes for one person; it's a 2-3person tent.
Good thing is the vestibule space and ability to sit up with lots of room.

Yeah, it's a bit much. Did it for a three-day hike once...never again. Just no point in it.

Otherwise it's great for car camping, but my next tent won't have poles, and be much lighter. I hate poles now so it'll be a trekking pole tent for me.
