you will get some veird looks doing this, icelandic people are pretty outdoorsy but also very based in that they value their time and comfort. if they can drive to their bumfuck nowhere cabin and turn on their geothermal heating so the place is boiling hot in 5min they will. you hiking will look completely dumb to them, they will wonder where your car broke down and if they should offer you a ride?
but ignore that and go for it, its a beautifull place.

Currently finishing up an /out/ trip in Iceland, might pass you on the road and I'll try to say hi. en.vedur.is is the best website for accurate information on the weather, just keep in mind that the weather forecast is only really reliable 24 hours out. Warmest days are 18C. It is windy here, but hitchhiking/ridesharing culture is pretty good. You might have some stretches where you have to go several days without resupply. I hope you like being wet and cold, but good luck on your trip!

if this is serious I would leave the inreach mini at home. I don't think iceland warrants it. I would be personally nervous about taking a froggs toggs jacket to some where like iceland. I would prefer a better featured rain jacket. two battery packs is way overkill. use your electric stuff less. I don't see any paper maps so question the value of the compass.
