>>2760442Are you illiterate?
None of that makes sense. You sound like you got yourself triggered.
>mapyou just restated what i said
>goes on hikes just to sit around, needs to cushion every natural surfaceok princess
>rain gearyeah I covered the part an un-forecasted storms, they are passing and last 10-40 mins, are you that afraid of getting wet?
>dont hike in the rainyou’re literally saying that you need to carry around multiple pieces of gear all the time just to stay dry if it rains, what is your point? you’re also failing to consider burn areas and the hazards that come with them during prolonged rain in the mountains (or in the desert, or in canyons, or even in a car on dirt/rural roads, where flash flooding happens). I try to avoid hikes when there is multiday rain, unless you’re backpacking throughhiking, in which case you bring a rain kilt / umbrella / quick shelter
>day hike means more than a few hoursdo you not have a job? do you not need to get home or to a workplace to be productive for part of your day? 5-6 hours of hiking is an average day hike.
>lunchI covered that, be back early because you are in the mountains. besides, have you never fasted? you are not ready to deal with an emergency if you don’t know how to control your mind to deal with things like hunger or panic.
>taking longer than expectedstart early and end early, if you’re planning to be back by noon and run into an issue you have 7-8 hours of daylight to self rescue, that’s longer than you originally planned to even be out, long enough to build / find a quick emergency shelter, or snares or to forage or whatever if you’re that worried about starving after 1/2 day
>pants badwhatever, thats preference, admittedly I always wear long sleeve shirts, I find long pants annoying though
>filteryeah sure lemme just carry a full scale desalination plant into a place where the water is literally source water that’s never been exposed to 99.9% of groundwater pollutants
