For example; the canyon tree frog, native mogollon leopard frog, and tiger salamander have greatly benefited from check dams and beaver dam style pools in intermittent streams and from artificial ponds in catchment basins as well as from improved wetland/marsh and forest habitat in Arizona. In the case of the leopard frog, the ponds are often built in secluded locations without any history of non-native bull frog invasion, which greatly helps the leopard frogs. Depends on your local area, but in general, improved and expanded quality habitat helps the most.
