If you are in the southern hemisphere just plant some seeds now and water them. It's called weed for a reason it's easy to grow. If you're in the northern hemisphere you're kinda out of luck at the moment. It's gonna start flowering next month so if you plant now it won't be mature when the day length makes it want to flower. If you have a greenhouse you could wait until October and plant then. You will need to add some grow light time in the evenings though if you want the plants to get big. Otherwise just wait until April and plant the seeds. It's really very easy to grow.

If you're in the Northern Hemisphere, unless you have something started already, it's too late for this year. If you have starts, get them outside ASAP. As soon as daylight hours drop under 14 hours, your plants will start to flower out. That's around the end of this month. In general, you want to start seeds in late winter or clones in the spring. Get them into the ground or into fabric pots in the spring. Train them during spring and summer. Crop, top and stretch her out before the light starts to shift in late summer. Harvest is in the fall(mid to late October in North America). If you're in the southern hemisphere, adjust the seasons to the appropriate months.

Alternately, you can grow autoflowers outside anytime, You will get less yield in the fall than spring or summer however.

its tropical enough that you can plant whenever basically. you are close enough to the equator that daylight hours wont be too much of an issue

You're most-likely British, but you could also be Aussie/NZ. Doesn't matter which -- you will grow some decent green in any of those locations as long as you plant at the right time. It's late now (I'm assuming you're British) so you would have to do auto-flowering seeds, and then you could still end up with a nice crop.

cant be a brit anyway because the max and min temps arent extreme enough. its obviously tropical and obviously has a certain rainy/dry season cycle and less obviously a certain latitude

seeds are surprisingly hard to come by since legalization. growers are very protective. i usually get one seed per like...four or five bags i buy from a dispensary.

remember the days when we complained about seeds in our weed? lol, we didnt know how good we had it. that said, ive got a few unidentified seeds due to how i blend marijuana strains (and also hemp, i toss some in, im a heavy medical user who did his research a few years ago).

i do have a couple specific ones i bagged. got a garlic breath and a wedding pie. got like six others i have no idea which strain. best advice i got for ya? give your seeds as a gift to a buddy who knows how to grow. just give him your seeds. he'll happily grow it and toss you some good stuff. easy. stress free. gains goodwill with your friend.

thats what friends do. i also trust my buddy's ability to grow in his climate-controlled shed hydroponics setup. he grows a bunch of stuff, all normal legal household herbs and plants. but old habits and whatnot. i give him three seeds and tell him to have fun, he texts me updates on the plants every couple weeks.

well you don't usually want the flowers to be fertilized and seed because it reduces potency and yield, so growers avoid it and I guess the legal growers have more options now like greenhouses to protect plants from pollen. if you grow your own plants seeds aren't really a problem, you can get hundreds from a single plant if you let pollen hit it.

I am not a pro but doing it outdoors is actually quite a lot of work I've been told by pros. It's legal here now so I will look into it next year too. So bump for interest.

One of my friends had a farm and has done both indoor and outdoor grows. Outdoor is easier and cheaper to grow. Indoor produces a more uniform product and allows a higher degree of control over nutrients and light which allows you to maximize cannabinoid production. Usually it's a trade off between growing a ton of weed outside, but not having as good of weed, or growing less weed that's higher quality. With the way the regulations were set up you're usually limited by the number of plants you can have so indoor has become the industry standard.
