should should build a multi level cabin. Start by digging a nine foot deep 12x12 square. Gather tree trunks, place one at each coner, make planks, apply plants to floor and walls. build ground level structure, build second level and balcony. Live in the woods for free.

When it's summer here and the temperature doesn't drop that low at night I go out camping and don't take any sleeping equipment.

Usually build a raised base to sleep on, padded nicely, then rows of logs either side of me leaning against each other.

Hard to explain but I used my many years of experience in paint to demonstrate..

There's always something to improve, at our last campsite the shore was mostly medium size rocks so I made a pier/berth/dock thing.

Well, you'd have to bring plastic sheeting. But Dick Proenneke did to build his cabin and he's the champ, so I guess that's fine.

building a sturdy rainproof tower in between some trees like OP's pic but better would awesome. IF you had time make an over hang to keep wood dry and a firepit it could be some nice living.
