I just ordered the Arc with student discount (30% off). anyone have these and can comment on the magnacut blade? is it legit or mostly gimmick?

I was gonna get the surge but i need a microbit driver and dont want to deal with modifying. Also didnt want to carry a file and saw. defeated the purpose of a multitool for me.

Thought about wave+ but the scissors are not as good as arc/surge. also like the tools on the outside like the swisstool

I have a gerber centerdrive
it's really nice, has everything I wanted. the centerdrive thing is kinda a meme though, the curved shaft of the driver makes it difficult or impossible to get to some fasteners you otherwise could easily. spring action pliers are super nice to have.
after using a tool with sliding pliers like this, I will never go back to a folding tool, I like this style way more.

Be prepared to cut open the palm of your hand on the un-crowned outer edge of the closed saw or file. I can't believe I paid over $200 for this shit.

Arc/wave+ mostly these days.
I mostly use the wave+, it has better ergonomics than the Arc.
Arc sure is a nice fidget toy though.
