>>280825it's all true, maybe you should try to read a book sometime. people eat because they are hungry. hunger is something that we have some control over but studies show that most people cannot ignore their hunger for long periods of time. hunger is ultimately triggered by the amount of food energy in your blood stream. in an overweight person, the energy from food they consume is usually put straight into their fat tissue. this means that very little of it remains for their other tissues such as muscles. overweight people are actually starving at the cellular level which is why they are always hungry and why have trouble getting pregnant (their body thinks they are starving so it shuts down their reproductive processes).
the reason their food energy is being diverted to fat tissues is usually do to a disorder in their insulin metabolism. insulin is the hormone which regulates the amount of fat stored in adipose tissue. it is produced by the bottom when we eat, more is produced when we eat carbohydrates in order to process the sugars in our blood. eventually if we eat too many of those foods our tissues become resistant to insulin and we need more of it to handle the same amount of blood sugars. more sugar means more insulin which also means more body fat.
eating less helps somewhat in the sense that if you eat less of the same things you will reduce your insulin levels somewhat as well. more benefit can be had from cutting out high GI foods like bread, potatoes, and sugary foods.
sometimes people have other problems though like stress (which causes cortisol production). there are many factors which contribute to hunger, fat storage, and energy levels and saying "hurr eat less fatty" is ignorant, offensive, and completely useless advice to the vast majority of people struggling with weight problems.
