I'm very paranoid about the Eastern equine encephalitis shit now. How effective is permethrin? I always heard about people saying take a pair of clothes and make a dedicated set for insect repelant, I remember people saying it'd last like a year, but the bottle says 6 weeks or 6 washes. I was going do take a pair of bdu, spf shirt, socks, boonie, shoes and I have a mosquito net, so I won't worry about coverage but I am curious. If you have a short sleeve or shorts with that stuff, would it still generally keep insects away by proximity, or would you need all skin covered?
