I'm doing alright in seattle I guess, the backpack is much heavier than I anticipated and my hips are killing me, halfway from my pants and halfway from the way it fits. It's way too heavy because I'm carrying a lot of extra stuff like my laptop. Stupid in retrospect, but here I am in a hipster coffeehouse thing with my laptop and phone charging. I didn't want to bring it out, and I'll be putting it away after I make these threads and posts. I wanted to start a new thread because the last one is bloated and is more about the before phase than the during phase. Anyway.
My first day went alright. I followed through with my plan to turn on my smartphone and use it for navigation and other information, I can't get a month long pass since those are like over a hundred dollars. Granted, they have a great public transit, but it's expensive in the long run if you don't have a job. I've been buying a light rail day ticket which is 5.50, it's useful to get rest on it, plus it helps me see the city better and get familiarized with the area. Last night I rode the length of the light rail for about 2 hours before finally getting off and finding a spot to sleep.
