>>2780087Personally I have guns set up for both super and subs. Right now I use supers. I recommend supers (~1200fps) to anon largely because of availability. I don't want to tell him "go ahead, get some subsonic ammo" only for anon to realize in his area availability for his now preferred ammo goes to shit once October is over and people start realizing they "need" 7 500rd bulk boxes of x brand 22lr, 5 of the 35 boxes of y brand .223, 3 boxes of z brand .30-06, etc. People just clear the shelves here; subsonics tend to have less availability and disappear or availability slows to a trickle in the Fall. And combine that with if anon is in the US? It's elections too, so even worse availability and prices. If anon is in CA, good luck getting lead free 22LR as well (thank god I don't have to deal with it).
>CCI SVPrices can still be pretty good, especially if you buy online (see: ammoseek) rather than your local chain gun store.
>CCI Mini mag/StingerI'm not crazy with recommending Stingers or other super fast ammo; not sure if Stingers fall into modern "hypervelocity" speeds (~1350fps+?) but I've seen a lot of people report bad accuracy @ 50yds with hypervelocity ammo. Depends on the gun, sure, but again, price and availability are also a factor.
>RemI haven't shot a lot of Remington. Weirdly never as common as Federal, CCI, or Blazer. Even Aguila is more common. I used to see the buckets years ago at Dicks but the prices on those in person often don't make sense, at least at Cabelas. Often it's more expensive per rd than the 50rd boxes of Remington lol.
>FederalWeirdly I used to have good luck with it but I started noticing weird accuracy, though I should try their ammo again before shit talking too much. It had a tendency to stovepipe one of my vintage 22s after a while oddly enough and then it started doing the same with my Ruger MK I and 10.22,
>AguilaFilthy, smelly, but I love it. Accurate enough for me, decent reliability, and cheap/available.
