>>2777701I'm not so demonstrative, but there are times & places where I've quietly enjoyed the view to the point of obviously not caring about much except for he moment. I'm nothing of a hiker, and prefer to tour lowland nature preserves mostly by car in winter, and in summer where few bother to stop for long enough to take notice of life close to the ground. In any case, I grew up in exurbia and suburbia, and pretty much take it for granted that nature is best seen, and enjoyed, from a certain remove.
