Twig burners are pretty good at boiling water and take up less space than a fuel canister and burner. But you're going to need to bring something to start the fire and you'll need to gather the twigs. So, it's a bit more effort if you're backpacking and you've been hiking all day. Also, if you happen to be in an area where there are no twigs or it's super moist they're not a good option.
