anons, i'm in a bit of a predicament. i love lake meredith simply put. i have found a sense of inner peace i didn't have before there that will forever be apart of me. i only want to preserve it properly. however, park rules state you can't take any alibates flint (but i did not understand this until this month). yet, i have had a ranger walk around my car, filled in the back with pieces that were about to fall off of the top of the mesas there, they said nothing about it - at the same time, this same ranger told me i couldn't bring any more flint to the visitors office when i had put aside three larger decaying pieces for em. which pains me, because i really want people to witness how beautiful it all is, the potential for a better connection is there that isn't being made because of conservation efforts. i don't dig for anything and merely try to scrape up decaying pieces, and i don't go into the flint quarry. i'm really not seeking to make a profit from it, i'm better off finding a local museum to donate it to. i'm just really not sure what to do with all of these rocks.
