It's really a piece of junk, I had some problems with the threading of the wide mouth locking up and ended up stripping the plastic threading of the cap, though that could absolutely have been user error. The cap has plastic threading and the bottle is aluminum so what I think it going on is that when you fill it with a hot liquid it expands at a different rate and seizes up. Having the wide mouth and bottle cap threaded the same way feels like a terrible design because if you just grab the handle on top and turn it, whichever is less tight is the one that opens.
Again, could absolutely have been user error but even without that it failed to keep my drink hot. I even preheated it with boiling water before putting the tea into it.
