And I'm talking about HOCKEY - no shoulder pads, no shin pads.
You get a stick or puck in the shins and tell me poorer = more authentic.
Fuck that.
I went cross-country skiing with a guy on the Canadian National Team once.
He lent me all the gear.
It was fantastic.
So much fucking fun.
But I had tried it years before with garage sale skiis and it sucked sweaty donkey balls.
if you can afford good shit and it helps you enjoy the sport or hobby, why not get it?
