Fulltime outdoor living

I want to live outdoors fulltime, away form people and civilization. I'm big into fitness so I want to learn how to hunt and find enough food to manage my calorie intake, as well as source natural salt, etc. Survival schools cost like 6000$, so I might have to manage with just books.
Some book recs I got are:
>John Plant: Primitive Technology
>Wilderness First Aid (fourth ed)
>SAS Survival handbook
>Books on plant identification
>etc
How would one go about learning hunting and trapping? Fishing is easy enough, but I don't think I could be sustainable with that skill alone.
I've already been scouting some potential places in Eastern Nevada, Maybe Utah, and North Carolina seems like the best choice in the event of any world trembling catastrophes.

As an additional note, I'm an experienced hiker and have some fishing and foraging experience, so I'm not coming at this completely green. I'm just not quite up to snuff to do this completely solo yet, and I'm not retarded enough to just throw myself into it without first having a decent enough understanding of what I'm doing. It's impossible to completely withdraw from society, you will always be dependent on the system. You as a human are not built for independent survival. People like to use Forest Anon as an example but even he makes supply runs every couple of months, plus that guy's lived most of his life outside. iirc before he built his cabin he was squatting in abandoned buildings in the desert.

But if you insist on it, I wouldn't bother hunting big game, you won't be able to preserve most of it and it'll be a waste of a carcass. Trapping rabbits and squirrels or whatever small animals are around will be your best bet. Just watch YT videos and try to apply them irl. Anything you learn in a paid course could've been learned on YT, the course just plates it up for you so you don't have to go looking.

I agree forestanon isn't the best example, he still works for ranches and does supply runs, but he also doesn't hunt, and there is more he could do to become self sustaining. But he is working towards it, and in that same vein I would like to work towards it to even if it requires me to be dependent on society for a short period of time to support the transition.
With an off-grid base it'd be possible to at least set up stations for making jerky though right? Couldn't I just build a fuck ton of smokers and make jerky like once or twice a year and preserve it?
I'm also not a complete noob, I have outdoor experience, just not enough at present to survive on my own for the length of a lifetime.

I think it's important for /out/ fantasists to remember that even Chris McCandless intended to pack it up and go back home. His path back to society just got washed out at an inconvenient time. Just go out there for as long as it's enjoyable and check back in occasionally to resupply or enjoy some modern luxuries. Learn to fish and hunt, sure, but you don't need to go feral to be an outdoorsman.

I don't enjoy anything about civilization, I'd rather die out there. I only feel good when I'm away from industrialization, the air chokes me, the architecture is suffocating. I've been starving in the woods and still managed to find it more enjoyable then being in a city. I want nothing to do with this civilization and it's eventual collapse, and if I don't get out there soon I'm straight up going to kill myself, I've had enough, I've sacrificed to much, and there is nothing for me here. I've travelled all the lower 48, done tons of camping and outdoor activity, and I find it is the only time I feel alive; I will not trade that for anything, and if I can't have it with permanence then a bullet in my brain shall be my only solace.
I'd appreciate advice on how to prolong my tenure in the wilderness, anything else is irrelevant to me. Book recs, training courses, youtube videos, really anything you've got.

But isn't full time out living the same? Get water, havest, hunt, chop wood, cook, sleep, if you don't want to die you need to repeat.
Of course if you never grow tired of it, you'll have a fun live.

Eh, just do test runs to practice and scout your future out home area really well during every season.

Been scouting out a few places with year round water, temperate weather, and variety in food: A lake or stream of some kind for fishing, small and large wildlife to hunt, and possibly pine nut heavy with the potential for mushrooms and other stuff. I'm also looking at starting a garden, though the soil consideration is going to be the hardest thing. I'm familiar with regenerative agriculture methods to keep the soil in good quality, but that soil has to be nutritious enough in the first place to make it viable. I'm also familiar with making survival foods, such as pemmican, and foraging berries. Stringing nettles and other things I might be able to transport in if I can't find them anywhere nearby.
The biggest thing is hunting, I would need to learn to make and maintain bows and other equipment, and clothing and moccasins and the like.

Learning to make your own stuff is big. There's no substitute for practice. Even with a perfect technical understanding of how to do it, when it comes to things like that, you NEED experience to really do it right. Start out small.
