i'll be going hiking/trekking in maine in mid-Feb so i'd like a comfy down sleeping bag with me.
considering temps can get as low as -10*F, all the various affordable 0*F bags are out of consideration.
thing is, there are only a select few of -10*F down bags that are within 400USD, other equal and lower-temp rated's jumps to 600USD++ so i don't want to make that jump yet.

i kind of like the Ascent more since it has a long zip on the side variant and i can use it as a blanket in warmer temps whereas the Wind River only has torso and footbox zips, but Ascent is an obsoleted model which went for as low as 230USD towards EoL a few years ago. i feel fucking conflicted and headache'd and am now contemplating getting the Wind River just to get it over with.
